The way which leads from the one-dimension of pictures and works in glass to the three-dimensional sculptures, which involve space, is a further logically consistent development to try and make time visible.
Initial projects centred on the Kaiser-Wilhelm Memorial-Church in Berlin, which after the Brandenburg Gate is the most important emblem of the city. Real sign-posts, points of orientation and information centres -like bill-boards - should encompass the world. They represent a global network, mark time and still respect the cultural identities of the variety of individual countries.
The Blue Obelisk which was erected in 1987 at Theodor-Heuss Square in Berlin, a site of great historical importance, marked the beginning of many further individual projects.
