Doctors Without Borders- Dubai, United Arab Emirates invite Britto, Rauschenberg and 38 other artists to Dubai to paint the longest painting in the world -10 kilometers- for inclusion in the Guiness Book of World Records to be auctioned by Christies' - proceeds to fund "Doctor's" work.

Bid for longest painting gets message across
Abu Dhabi - Strong winds may have blown away chances of a world record, but planners of the longest painting believe the message behind it is unshaken. Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), organisers of the bid to set the Guinness Book record for the longest painting, say that the effort conveyed its humanitarian message.
Despite the anger of nature, they say that the painting, intended as a fundraising event for the world's needy children, did its job.
According to an MSF official, students from about 60 schools in Dubai and Abu Dhabi took part along with 50 international artists. It was expected that the painting would be completed in 10 hours.
